KC CRAINE: About KC

KC CRAINE

Award winning musician KC Craine is a veteran of the 1980's San Francisco music scene, having shared the stage with many of the popular acts of the time including Huey Lewis and the News, Jefferson Starship, Greg Kihn, and Eddie and the Tide. After a 10-year hiatus, he has resurfaced in Portland, Oregon and built a loyal following of acoustic music fans in the Pacific Northwest.

"Second Wind," KC's first solo album, features all-instrumental acoustic guitar compositions that are soothing, lyrical and romantic. Cuts from “Second Wind” are featured on the soundtrack to the 2005 documentary film "Hineini" as well as the popular TV show "Smallville."

The CD, "Daddy's Old Guitar," features KC's singing and songwriting. The title track went to #6 on American Idol Underground. Praise comes from the Oregonian newspaper: “Masterful fingerstyle guitar with a backpack full of alt-country, folk and blues.”
